City Academy Cambridge International Early College Program
Cambridge Assessment International Education (CAIE) prepares students for life, helping them develop an informed curiosity and a lasting passion for learning. CAIE is part of the University of Cambridge, Cambridge, England.
City Academy is an accredited Cambridge International School. We utilize Cambridge Assessment International Education (www.cie.org.uk) for our pre-advanced and early college high school courses in English Literature, History, and Mathematics.
City Academy is the only high school in Utah offering the Cambridge internationally recognized Advanced-level courses and assessments (“A levels”) as our high school Early College Program.

This globally esteemed program is truly a college-level curriculum, and provides rich material for authentic investigation and study, and excellent opportunity to combine study in breadth and depth.
Our Cambridge Advanced-level courses foster a characteristic passion and engagement in our students as they prepare for the rigors of their college education and lifelong learning.
Universities value Cambridge learners because they don’t just have mastery of content, but are also able to think analytically, look at a text critically, and write effectively.
Students’ qualified scores from the associated Cambridge Assessment International Examinations are accepted by the world’s most prestigious colleges and universities, including all eight American Ivy League schools as well as Utah’s major higher education institutions.
Students sit for Cambridge Exams in May and sometimes the first weeks of June as scheduled by Cambridge Assessment.
It is critical that Cambridge students have good attendance all year and especially April – June.
Scores from spring exams are received in August.
City Academy is committed to helping more students prepare for and then complete advanced-level study.
Our Cambridge curriculum includes Cambridge Pre-Advanced level courses (International General Certificate of Secondary Education “IGCSE”) to provide our students from 9th grade onwards with an outstanding preparation for more advanced study in high school and in college.
Students in 7th and 8th grades at City Academy receive instruction that maps well into the pre-advanced and advanced level rigor of Cambridge courses.
