The City Academy Board of Trustees (Board) is governed by
bylaws and
articles of incorporation. The Board meets at school and virtually at 4:15 PM on the third Wednesday of each month August – June, but in December only by vote each year. All Board members are elected to the Board from the community at large except one voting seat on the board held by the parent chair of the City Academy Advisory Council. Recordings of all Board meetings are available within 3 days of a meeting being held by contacting the City Academy office (§52-4-203). Links to all Board meeting recordings are made available as a part of the written minutes posted within 30 days of the meeting.
The City Academy Board serves a dual purpose both as the School Board for City Academy, and as the fiduciary board for our charter school’s 501(c)3 status.
